About

Xan Gabriel is a young composer, artist, and producer that grew up in Thousand Oaks, California. Since age six, Xan acted in live theater and film and television, and has had the honor to work with Actors Co-op and the Pantages in Hollywood. Xan’s love for performing led her to earn a Bachelor’s Degree Acting from Westmont College. During the 2020 pandemic, Xan joined the League of Young Women Composers and landed her composing debut on Disney Channel’s ‘Quizney.’ Shortly after, Xan began scoring the original soundtrack for Lila Rose Kaplan’s, “small enchantments.” Xan’s original music and lyrics are now published with Kaplan’s script and can be licensed through Theater Rights Worldwide. Here, Xan booked her first feature film, Wake Up, with a supporting role Lexi. Then, Xan produced her first multi sensory contactless exhibit ‘CHROMESTHESIA’ that explores the combination of color and sound.

Since then, Xan composed and engineered library music for two Disney Channel shows, Greatest of All Time (G.O.A.T.) and Eye Wonder. Additionally, Xan has placed songs on two films (Wake Up & A Winter’s Tale Interrupted)  In Fall 2021, Xan temporarily signed with Glow Music Group. Xan received a scholarship from We Are Moving The Needle to study audio engineering at The Blackbird Academy. During her studies at The Blackbird Academy, Xan began working at Spellbound Recorders as an engineer and producer. Continuing her freelance engineer and production work, Xan began working with Steven Durr Designs, learning how to repair gear, tune studios, design monitors, and more.

In Fall of 2023, Xan started a collective, cool girl studio, where cool girls come together to track to tape. Currently, Xan has been working on her new art exhibition, ‘dear diary’ an album, tracked to tape for mixing and mastering in spatial, that will be presented in the midst of a multi-sensory art exhibit. More than anything, Xan is looking for opportunities to continue pursuing performing and sharing art!
